Lille name asking price for Manchester United target
Manchester United have been told they will have to pay €35m (£31.1m) to sign Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan, reports The Daily Record.
David de Gea has entered the final 12 months of his current United deal and Paris Saint-Germain are lining up a £60m bid for the Spain international.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side want to prolong De Gea’s stay at Old Trafford but the 28-year-old has already rejected United’s best offer of a new deal.
United face the prospect of losing De Gea on a free transfer in the summer of 2020 if they do not cash in now.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a number of potential replacements and it has now emerged Maignan is on their radar.
The former PSG goalkeeper made his top-flight debut for Lille and has been the club’s first choice goalkeeper for the last two seasons.
Only Walter Benitez (16) kept more clean sheets than Maignan (15) in Ligue 1 last season.
