Mbappe and Fabinho to trade places with Lucas at PSG

Mbappe and Fabinho to trade places with Lucas at PSGMonaco pair Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho are both set to complete transfers to Ligue 1 rivals PSG this week in a deal that will see Lucas Moura move in the opposite direction, according to Sky News.

The French champions have been battling off bids for their prized assets all summer, with Mbappe chief among them, but it appears as though both he and Fabinho’s desire to make the move to Paris will force through a deal.

The youngster was involved in a bust up with teammate Andrea Raggi recently and is not training with the rest of the first team as a result as his stance has become abundantly clear. It now appears as though an initial loan deal with an agreement to buy next summer will see the teenager earn his dream move.

Midfielder Fabinho is set to follow him to the Parc des Princes too, meaning Leonardo Jardim will have been stripped of five first team regulars from their title winning campaign following the departures of Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva to the Premier League.

Monaco will get Brazilian international Lucas Moura in return, which is not insignificant given his unquestionable ability, in an overall deal that has been valued at around €220m.

The 25-year-old scored 12 league goals last season but hasn’t featured this time around, though Fabinho and Mbappe combined for twice that figure (24) and the agreement will undoubtedly be viewed as the holders all but surrendering their crown to their Parisian counterparts.
