Aston Villa have announced the signing of Ross McCormack from Championship rivals Fulham.
The Scotland international netted 21 league goals for the west London giants last season, a return bettered only by Andre Gray (25).
Fulham on Wednesday confirmed that they accepted a £12m bid from Villa for McCormack, with the deal completed on Thursday.
“Aston Villa Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of striker Ross McCormack,” a statement read on the club’s official site.
“McCormack, 29, arrives from Fulham in a £12m deal which equals the second highest transfer fee in the Club's history.
“The highly-rated forward has penned a four-year deal will now link up with Roberto Di Matteo’s squad ahead of the Sheffield Wednesday game on Sunday.”
On the move, Roberto Di Matteo added: “I'm delighted to bring Ross on board. He's a player with proven track record and plenty of experience in the division.
"He is a player whose goalscoring record has been excellent everywhere he has been and we feel he can be an important addition."
