Manchester City consider move for Paris Saint-Germain star
Manchester City are pondering a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain youngster Kylian Mbappe after the French outfit failed to meet Financial Fair Play rules, reports the Sunday Mirror.
The teenage striker joined PSG on loan from Monaco last year, but a deal is in place that’ll see him make the move permanent for £167m this summer.
However, UEFA are investigating the Ligue 1 champions elect after they paid £198m to sign Neymar from Barcelona last season and then tied up the loan deal with Monaco for Mbappe.
Should they be found guilty, then PSG could face huge ramifications and City will hope to exploit any possible hiccup to try and lure Mbappe to Manchester.
City boss Pep Guardiola has been keen to sign Mbappe for some time now, but didn’t believe a deal was viable last summer as PSG sought to spend big to sign the France international.
The Premier League leaders could now return for Mbappe when the transfer window opens if PSG are disciplined for failing to adhere to FFP guidelines.
