Arda Turan is keen on remaining on Barcelona despite interest from a host of Premier League teams, the player’s agent has told the Guardian.
The Turkey captain made his debut for the La Liga champions at the turn of the year and while he made 18 league appearances, nine of those were as a substitute.
Reports suggest that Barcelona would be prepared to cut their losses on the 29-year-old this summer, which has alerted a number of English sides looking to secure Arda’s services.
However, the player’s agent - Ahmet Bulut - has rubbished reports suggesting he is looking to secure a switch elsewhere and insists his client is happy at Camp Nou.
“The interest [in Arda] is normal but the rumours saying he is leaving Barcelona are false, he is happy at the club,” Bulut said.
