Inter have contacted Christian Eriksen's representatives to discuss his future, claims Sky Sports.

Eriksen has entered the final six months of his current Tottenham deal and has made it clear he doesn't want to renew with the club.

Even Jose Mourinho's arrival has failed to convince Eriksen to change his mind about wanting to leave and Tottenham now face losing the 27-year-old for nothing in the summer.

Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for Eriksen this month, which would suit Tottenham as they can still command a fee for the Denmark international.

However, Inter are one of several clubs around Europe exploring the chance to sign Eriksen on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Despite the uncertainty around his future, Eriksen has featured heavily under Mourinho but is yet to rediscover his sparkingly best form.

Nevertheless, Eriksen has registered the most assists in the Premier League since joining Tottenham from Ajax in the summer of 2013 (62).
