Barcelona are still interested in Davinson Sanchez despite being snubbed by the Ajax defender in the summer, reports Football Oranje.
Sanchez, 20, had the chance to join Barcelona in the summer but rejected their proposal after finding out he would have to spend this season with their B side.
The Colombia international instead opted to join Dutch giants Ajax after three years Atletico Nacional and has flourished so far this season, forcing Luis Enrique’s side to keep tabs on his development.
Sanchez has featured in nine of Ajax’s 10 league games this season and has already established himself in the Eredivisie team of the season after garnering a superb WhoScored rating (7.48).
Not only that, but Sanchez has already proven a capable goalscorer having netted twice this season, making him the joint highest goalscorer of all defenders in the league this season.
