Arsenal and Liverpool are prepared to fight in out with Napoli for the signing of Real Madrid striker Jese, according to AS.
The Spanish attacker is highly thought of at the Bernabeu, but has started just four league games this season, netting twice and providing a further assist.
Napoli are believed to be frontrunners in the race to secure the 22-year-old's services in January, but Arsenal and Liverpool are set to rival the Serie A side to sign Jese.
Arsenal could do with another attacking option, with Arsene Wenger's squad thin in the ground in the attacking third in light of injuries to Danny Welbeck, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, has reportedly eyed up the Madrid star as he looks to swell Liverpool's offensive options.
Despite a lack of first team opportunities, Jese has still gained a commendable WhoScored rating of 7.24.
