Liverpool prepared to sell summer signing after six months

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is prepared to sell summer signing Fabinho to fund a January move for Borussia Dortmund starlet Christian Pulisic, claims The Daily Mirror.

Contract talks between Pulisic and Dortmund have stalled and Chelsea are reportedly the favourites to sign the highly rated 20-year-old at the start of next year.

Pulisic will only have 12 months left to run on his current Dortmund deal at the end of the season and the Bundesliga side will cash in on the youngster in January when they can still command a big fee.

Klopp wants to raid his former club to prise Pulisic to Anfield and is even prepared to cash in on Fabinho despite only signing the Brazil international in the summer.

Fabinho has endured a difficult start to life at Anfield and the likes of AC Milan and Juventus are reportedly monitoring his future.

The 25-year-old has only made four Premier League appearances for Liverpool and was made to wait until the end of September to make his full debut for the club, in a League Cup defeat to Chelsea.

Pulisic turned in an accomplished performance in USA’s 3-0 defeat to England on Thursday and Liverpool and Chelsea look set to get head-to-head for his signature in January.

Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in Pulisic but even Liverpool have a lot of ground to make up in order to prevent the American from joining Chelsea.

Pulisic has dropped below Jadon Sancho in the pecking order for places at Dortmund, but has still completed the most dribbles in the Bundesliga since the start of last season (90).
