Inter Milan are keen on signing Jesse Lingard from Manchester United, provided they can offload Christian Eriksen this month, reports The Sunday Mirror.
Eriksen has proven to be a disastrous signing by the Italian side and they are now prepared to cut ties with the Dane.
A Premier League return has been mooted, while PSG, now managed by former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, have also been linked with a move for the creative star.
And his exit could pave the way for Inter to make a move for Lingard, whose career at Old Trafford is expected to draw to a close sooner rather than later.
Lingard has made just two starts for United this season and is yet to feature in the Premier League for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
Inter head coach Antonio Conte is believed to be a huge admirer of Lingard and he believes the England international is just the player they need to aid in their title push.
The Italian outfit were held to a 2-2 draw with Roma on Sunday, a result that leaves them three points behind rivals AC Milan at the top of the Serie A table.
