Chelsea have already rejected two bids for Hazard

Chelsea have already rejected two bids from Real Madrid for Eden Hazard and are determined to get an astronomical fee for the Belgian, claims The Daily Mirror.

Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has earmarked Hazard as a top transfer target this summer, as the Spanish side plot a mass-squad overhaul at the end of the season.

This summer represents the last opportunity Chelsea will have to command a fee for Hazard, as the Belgium international will only have 12 months left to run on his existing deal.

Despite an offer to become the best-paid player in the club’s history, Hazard is not expected to renew with Chelsea and there are even suggestions he could hand in a transfer request in a bid to force through a move to Madrid.

Madrid have reportedly already had two bids for Hazard turned down, with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia refusing to lower the club’s £100m valuation of the 28-year-old.

Hazard has arguably been one of the best players in the world over the last 12 months after carrying his form from the 2018 World Cup into the current campaign with Chelsea.

Hazard has registered more assists than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues this season (15) and provided two in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Watford to guarantee a top four finish for Chelsea.

Furthermore, Hazard has played a direct hand in more goals than any other player in the Premier League this season (31).
