West Ham have seen their improved £6m bid for Hull City talisman Robert Snodgrass rejected, according to Sky Sports.
Snodgrass, 29, is keen to leave Hull this month after rejecting their offer of a fresh contract at the turn of the year, with West Ham among several teams interested in his signature.
Despite having their offer of a new deal turned down, Hull did trigger a clause that extended Snodgrass’ deal by a further 12 months to keep him at the club until 2018.
Nevertheless, that has not stopped West Ham in their pursuit of the Scotland international and have now seen their £6m bid rejected, as they did when they tabled a bid of half that value at the start of January.
Snodgrass has enjoyed a sublime campaign for the Tigers despite their struggles in the Premier League and his loss would be a real blow to their chances of beating the drop. In fact, Snodgrass has played a direct hand in exactly half the amount of goals Hull have scored in the league (10/20).
