Manchester United have identified Velez Sarsfield attacker Thiago Almada as an alternative to top target Jadon Sancho, reports Manchester Evening News.
Sancho is United's priority this summer as they look to bring in a new winger, but they are aware they'll need to spend big to convince Borussia Dortmund to sell the 20-year-old.
Indeed, it's rumoured that Sancho and Dortmund have an gentleman's agreement in place that will allow the player to leave if they match his €120m valuation.
However, United are monitoring a number of young right wing options, which has seen them linked with moves for the likes of Rabbi Matondo and David Brooks.
And Almada is another that the club are keeping tabs on following a commendable campaign in Argentina.
The teenager featured 22 times in the Argentine Superliga in 2019, scoring four goals and yielding a WhoScored rating of 6.82 in the process.
Almada has been courted by United's rivals Manchester City, too, and it has been reported that a deal to take him to the Etihad Stadium was on the cards last summer, but failed to materialise.
