Everton boss won't allow Chelsea and Manchester City target to leave

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has said that there is "no way" Lucas Digne will leave the club this summer despite reported interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.

Digne has been a revelation for the Toffees following his arrival from Barcelona in 2018 and has form has clearly not gone unnoticed.

Both Chelsea and City are in the market for a new left-back this summer, with the Blues heavily linked with a move for Leicester's Ben Chilwell.

However, the Foxes value Chilwell at around £80m and it has seen Chelsea turn their attention elsewhere.

City, meanwhile, are looking to strengthen at left-back as they undergo a summer revamp in a bid to boost their title chances next term.

Ancelotti, though, is adamant Everton won't be selling the 26-year-old, and is quoted by The Telegraph as saying: "At this moment, there are a lot of rumours. Lucas Digne is an important player for us, so there is no way that he can leave."

Digne is expected to start at left-back when Everton travel to Tottenham for their Monday night clash in north London.
