Liverpool vs FC Porto Team News: Hosts without key starter?
Liverpool are set to be without Andrew Robertson for Tuesday night’s Champions League welcome of Liga NOS giants FC Porto.
The left-back has established himself as a key man in Jurgen Klopp’s XI after his arrival from Hull City over the summer, but was not pictured in training prior to the Champions League tie, with Alberto Moreno in line to deputise.
Elsewhere, Klopp confirmed that Georgino Wijnaldum and Ben Woodburn will both miss the welcome of FC Porto, though there absence aren’t expected to be too keenly felt after the Reds romped to a 5-0 win over their Portuguese counterparts in the first leg.
Better news though is that in-form Emre Can is available for selection after missing the first leg through suspension and he could start at Anfield.
The Liga NOS leaders also have their fair share of injury concerns with key quartet Danilo, Alex Telles, Francisco Soares and Moussa Marega all ruled out of Tuesday’s meeting with Liverpool.
Felipe, though, returns from a ban and is set to start, while Ricardo Pereira was among the substitutes in Friday night’s 2-1 win over Sporting and could feature at left-back.
Vincent Aboubakar is also in line for his first start in over a month having come off the bench last time out, with the Cameroonian last featuring from the off in the 3-1 win over Braga.
