Champions League finalists PSG interested in Tottenham midfielder Alli

PSG have opened talks with Tottenham over the possible signing of Dele Alli, reports The Telegraph.

The England international missed out on a spot in Jose Mourinho's 18-man squad for their early trip to Southampton on Sunday, heightening speculation he could leave before the transfer window closes.

Reports last week suggested Alli would be used as a makeweight in any deal for Gareth Bale, though those rumours proved to be false.

Bale returned to Spurs on Saturday, seven years after leaving for Real Madrid, with Sergio Reguilon also joining the north London side from Los Blancos as Spurs look to strengthen before the close of the transfer window.

Alli, though, has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs of late and while his performance levels have dipped, he still has suitors across the continent.

Indeed, PSG are among those interested in the 24-year-old and they are looking to do a deal with Spurs for Alli before the October 5th deadline.

Alli's exit would likely see Spurs firm up their rumoured interest in Manchester United's Jesse Lingard, who today has been linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
