Tottenham start contract talks with Harry Kane

Tottenham have started contract extension talks with Harry Kane following his blistering form this season, reports The Indepedent.

Kane's current Tottenham deal still has over three years left to run but the North London outfit want to secure the remaining peak years of his career.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Kane but the England captain is happy with Tottenham so long as they remain competitive.

Tottenham are on the brink of the Carabao Cup final and are well-positioned in the league, four points from top spot.

Kane has been in remarkable form for Tottenham this season and on Saturday became the first player to reach double figures for both goals and assists in Europe's top five leagues in 2020/21.

With Son Heung-Min already close to agreeing a new long-term deal, news of Kane pledging his future to the club would be another massive boost for the club's ambitions.

Kane is already inside the top-10 scorers in Premier League history and needs 97 more to match Alan Shearer's record (260).
