Hammers launch big money move for Real Madrid outcast
West Ham are considering an ambitious big money move for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, reports Spanish outlet Marca.
The Colombia international is widely expected to depart the Bernabeu this summer having fallen out with manager Zinedine Zidane.
His departure would trigger a big money scramble for the creative star, with Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG among those suited.
However, the Hammers are now looking to trump their rivals in the race to sign Rodriguez and have made an offer of £67m to bring him to London.
The 25-year-old is reluctant to leave Real Madrid having settled in the Spanish capital, while an excellent showing for Colombia at the Copa America could convince Zidane that Rodriguez is worthy of another chance for Los Blancos.
