Costa injury could have implications on Remy future
Loic Remy may be forced to remain at Chelsea until the Premier League champions find out the extent of Diego Costa’s leg injury.
Costa, 27, was forced off during their 2-2 draw with Everton and went straight to hospital before finding out he has heavy bruising on his shin.
Chelsea were relieved to find out there was no break, but are yet to put a timescale on the strikers return.
The implications of this could see Remy remain at the club and a move to sign Alexandre Pato quicken. The France international has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in a bid to find regular first-team football.
Remy has never really got a look in since joining Chelsea from Queens Park Rangers at the start of last season, despite being a regularly contributor when called upon.
In fact, no Chelsea player has required fewer minutes per goal in the Premier League than Remy (102.6 mins)
