Stoke sign Martins Indi

Stoke have announced they have signed Bruno Martins Indi from Porto in a deal worth £7m.

Martins Indi spent last season on loan at Stoke but it has taken nearly all summer for Mark Hughes’ side to make the switch permanent.

The Potters’ decision to take Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea appeared to suggest they had dropped their interest in the 25-year-old but he has now put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the club

“Bruno loved being with us last season and made no secret of his desire to move here permanently,” chief executive Tony Scholes told the club’s official website.

“We’ve had to be patient in our dealings with Porto but we’re really pleased with the outcome.”

The Netherlands international played in 35 matches for Stoke in the Premier League last season and Stoke failed to win the three matches he did not feature in.
