Manchester United youngster weighing up Inter bid

Tahith Chong is mulling a lucrative contract offer from Serie A giants Inter to leave Manchester Untied this summer, reports The Guardian.

Chong has entered the final six months of his current United contract and has been heavily linked with a move to Inter since the turn of the year.

Inter have held talks with Chong's representatives about a Bosman transfer and have offered the youngster a five-year deal worth in the region of £48,000-a-week.

Antonio Conte's side have already raided United of Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Ashley Young this season and hope to prise Chong away from Old Trafford.

Chong's agent took a swipe at United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in January and suggested his client would leave the Red Devils because of the Norwegian.

Solskjaer has given Chong plenty of first-team opportunities this season but the Netherlands Under-21 international has looked overawed on every occasion.

Chong notably missed an open goal in a Europa League tie with Astana in November and United went on to lose 2-1.

The youngster has made nine appearances across all competitions in total this season but is awaiting his first senior goal.
