Manchester United consider summer move for Juventus forward

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to make Brazilian winger Douglas Costa his first summer signing after his permanent appointment, reports Tuttosport. 

United have been linked with a number of big summer moves as Solskjaer looks to revamp the squad to improve their chances of securing silverware. 

Jadon Sancho has donned the gossip column, even though Borussia Dortmund are adamant that the teenager won’t leave Germany this summer. 

A host of others are rumoured to be high on United’s summer wishlist, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Kalidou Koulibaly and Declan Rice linked with moves to Old Trafford. 

However, Costa has since emerged as a possible target for United, though they would face competition from city rivals Manchester City should they look to firm up their interest. 

The 28-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot for the Old Lady, making just seven league starts for this table topping Juventus side. 

No less, of those to have made 10 or more appearances, only Jeremie Boga (5.4) is making more successful dribbles per 90 than Costa (4.4) in Serie A this season to reinforce a statistically calculated WhoScored strength of ‘dribbling’.
