Thomas Muller has extended his Bayern Munich contract until the summer of 2023, the Bundesliga outfit have confirmed.
Muller was approaching the final 12 months of his previous contract with Bayern but has now been rewarded with an extra two years.
The Germany international's stint at Bayern appeared to be winding down prior to this season after dropping out of favour under previous managers.
Philippe Coutinho's arrival from Barcelona in the summer of 2018 made it clear Bayern were looking towards the future.
However, Muller has rediscovered his best form for Bayern this season and now Coutinho will return to Barcelona in the summer when his two-year loan deal expires.
"Both sides signed with a really good feeling," Muller told the club's official website. "I'm sure that once we're playing again, we'll continue to be very successful.
"That spurs me on. For me, the number one priority was to extend at FC Bayern - and the club felt the same way. I've been with FC Bayern a good two-thirds of my life now, so you can't say that the club and I are just along for the ride - we fight for each other.
"This club is not just any old employer for me. It's my passion. I'm happy that I'll be here for two extra years, and I'll give everything on and off the pitch."

Muller's reputation outside of Germany first soared at the 2014 World Cup after scoring five times in seven games en route to lifting the trophy for his country.
After spending the next few years as a goalscorer, Muller's game has since switched and he is now mainly a creative player.
In fact, no player has registered more assists than Muller in Europe's top five leagues so far this season (16).
