Swansea demand £50m for Leicester and Everton target
Swansea have told suitors of Gylfi Sigurdsson to cough up £50m after rejecting Leicester’s staggering £40m offer for the midfielder, reports Wales Online.
Sigurdsson has been heavily linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium for the second time in his career after enjoying a sublime campaign last season.
The Iceland international is thought to favour move to Everton this summer but Swansea have no interest in being pushed around in the transfer market and are now demanding top money for their best player.
Swansea have already rejected a stunning £40m offer from Leicester and have made it clear Everton will have to shatter their club-transfer record in order to land the former Tottenham flop.
The Toffees have already been one of the busiest sides in the summer transfer market but it remains to be seen whether they’d be willing to splash out £50m on the 27-year-old.
Only Kevin De Bruyne (18) and Christian Eriksen (15) provided more assists in the Premier League last season than Sigurdsson (13).
