Liverpool refusing to sell Markovic

Liverpool will not sell Lazar Markovic to Fenerbahce even if they offer £20m, according to The Independent.

Markovic, 21, has been on loan at the Turkish giants since the start of the season after falling out of favour under previous Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Serbia international struggled to make any serious impact under Rodgers after joining from Benfica for £20m in 2014.

However, Liverpool have no interest in selling the highly rated wideman even if Fenerbahce are willing to match the price they paid Benfica.

The youngster has struggled with injuries since making the temporary switch to Turkey, which has hampered his involvement. However, no Fenerbahce player to have started at least one league game averages more dribbles per game than Markovic (1.8).
