Jorginho’s agent says he will assess the midfielder’s future when the transfer window opens in January amid interest from Arsenal.
Arsenal reportedly sent scouts to watch the Brazilian midfielder in Napoli’s 0-0 draw at Genoa on Sunday.
The 23-year-old had looked destined to leave Napoli over the summer but his up turn in form and involvement in the first-team has coincided with a change in manager.
However, despite earning a more regular starting berth under Maurizio Sarri, Jorginho’s agent admits they could revaluate his future in January.
“I’m not surprised that top clubs are interested in him,” Joao Santos told Radio Crc. “One of the head scouts of Arsenal is well-known, and so I know he was at Marassi for the Napoli match. Right now we’re more thinking about Jorginho at Napoli than the transfer market.
“I’m in Brazil, and when I’m back we can discuss my client’s contract. The priority is getting a call-up for the national team, then there’s the January transfer market.
“If Napoli receive an irrefutable offer for Jorginho in January then it’s normal that we’d make our assessments.”
Since the start of the season, only two players are being dribbled round more frequently per game than Jorginho in Serie A (2.9 times per game).
