Schalke have confirmed they have signed sought after forward Breel Embolo from Swiss giants FC Basel.
Embolo, 19, has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and Arsenal in the last month and featured in all four of Switzerland’s matches at Euro 2016.
The pacey forward has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Schalke, keeping him at the Bundesliga outfit until 2021.
“In Breel Embolo, we have been able to bring in a highly talented attacker, who has a lot of international experience and was also in demand at several other top European clubs.” Schalke’s sporting director Christian Heidel told their official website.
Embolo only completed one dribble in 160 minutes of action and finished as Switzerland’s third lowest rated player (6.19) from those used.
