Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta insists the club will not sell Leonardo Bonucci to Manchester City.
Bonucci, 29, has been heavily linked with City since Pep Guardiola replaced Manuel Pellegrini at the start of the summer and talks have resurfaced following Vincent Kompany’s latest injury setback.
Guardiola previously described Bonucci as one of the greatest players he had ever seen, but Marotta has ruled out the possibility of selling their star defender in January.
“No, that’s not what I heard,” Marotta told Mediaset Premium, via Manchester Evening News.
“Right now, no players would be transferable anyway and we haven’t received any offers.”
Since August 2009 only three outfielders have completed more accurate long balls than Bonucci (1415).
