Everton want to sign Wilshere

Everton manager Ronald Koeman wants to make Jack Wilshere part of a new-look midfield at Goodison Park for next season, reports The Daily Mirror.

Wilshere, 25, was sent on a season-long loan deal at Bournemouth at the start of the season and the midfielder’s long term future at Arsenal remains uncertain.

Arsene Wenger wants the England international to sign a new deal at Arsenal but contract talks haven’t even started with the player as he enters the final 18 months of his existing deal.

As well as wrapping up a deal to sign Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United this month, Koeman wants to add Wilshere to his midfield options in the summer as he continues to morph the squad with his own image.

Wilshere appears to have put his injury concerns behind him this season after starting in more games this season (13) for Bournemouth than he managed in his last two league campaigns with Arsenal (10).
