Manchester City forward completes move home with Sevilla

Nolito has completed a move to Sevilla from Manchester City, the La Liga outfit have confirmed via their official website.

The Spain international spent just one season in the Premier League but after a relatively promising start at the Etihad the forward found opportunities increasingly hard to come by under Pep Guardiola.

The 30-year-old failed to start a single Premier League game in 2017 and a move away was all but assured this summer, with Sevilla sealing the former Celta Vigo star’s signature.

Nolito has signed a three-year deal with his new club, returning to his homeland having reached double figures for goals in each of his last three seasons in La Liga.

The striker managed just four for Manchester City by comparison, though just 9 of his 19 league appearances came from the start.

With Stevan Jovetic’s loan spell coming to an end and Vitolo leaving for Atletico via Las Palmas on loan, new coach Eduardo Berizzo was a little short of attacking options and understandably targeted a man that proved to be so pivotal under his tutelage at Celta.
