Dijon goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson is set to undergo his Arsenal medical to replace Emiliano Martinez at the club, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Martinez completed a £20m move to Villa on Wednesday leaving Mikel Arteta without a reserve goalkeeper to first-choice Bernd Leno.
However, Arsenal have moved quickly in finding Martinez's replacement and have agreed a fee with French side Dijon for Iceland international Runarsson.
The 25-year-old is expected to cost no more than £2m and leaves Arsenal with plenty in the budget to bolster their midfield options further this summer.
Arsenal considered a move for Brentford's David Raya Martin but the Bees wanted £10m and they have instead opted for the cheaper option in Runarsson.

Runarsson averaged 3.1 saves per 90 in Ligue 1 last season, ranking eighth in the division of goalkeepers with at least 10 appearances, though he failed to keep one clean sheet.
Moreover, of all Ligue 1 goalkeepers to have made at least 20 appearances since the start of 2018/19, Runarsson had the worst save success rate (57.8%).
