Juventus approach Bayern Munich for out of favour midfielder
Juventus have asked Bayern Munich for Renato Sanches on a two-year loan deal with an option to make the transfer permanent, reports Mediaset Premium, via Football Italia.
The Serie A giants are reportedly in discussions with Bayern for the signature of Douglas Costa and Max Allegri’s side are now looking to take advantage of Sanches’ uncertain future at the club.
Sanches only joined Bayern last summer but the Portugal international, who is currently away with the U21 squad at the European Championships, failed to make any impressed under Carlo Ancelotti last season.
Bayern’s decision to make Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso the Bundesliga's most expensive ever player seems to have spelled the end for Sanches’ time at the club and now Juventus are ready to pounce.
The Old Lady are looking to structure a transfer in the same way they allowed Kingsley Coman to join Bayern on a two-year loan deal before Ancelotti’s made the switch permanent at the end of last season.
The 19-year-old made 17 appearances in the Bundesliga last season but only six of those came as a starter. No outfielder secured a lower WhoScored rating in the league for Bayern last season than Sanches (6.43).
