Liverpool ready to fight for teenage Brazilian wing-wizard

Liverpool are prepared to launch a strong bid to lure Vasco da Gama winger Talles Magno to Anfield, reports The Daily Star.

The 17-year-old has enjoyed a respectable breakthrough season for the Brazilian outfit having made 12 starts in the 2019 Brasileirao campaign.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is looking to add a new attacker to his squad in the off-season and has also been linked with a move for Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka.

However, if Liverpool are to make a move for Talles, they'd face competition from a string of European sides, including Liga NOS giants Benfica.

LaLiga outfit Sevilla and French powerhouse Lyon are also monitoring the teenager's situation.

Talles netted twice in the 2019 Brasileirao and his form from the left flank yielded a WhoScored rating of 6.86.

The teenage wing-wizard could prove a costly investment with Vasco da Gama likely to command around £20m for Talles.

That fee, though, is a hefty drop in his current release clause, which presently stands at £43m.

Talles was part of the Brazil squad that secured the U17 World Cup last year, with the youngster shining as he scored twice to help the tournament hosts to success.
