Barcelona are set to make a move for Celta Vigo's Nolito as a replacement for Pedro, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Manchester United are inching closer to confirming the capture of Pedro with the Premier League side expected to activate the player's £22m release clause.
His departure would leave the La Liga champions light up top, though the Blaugrana are now preparing a move for Nolito to ease Pedro's impending departure.
The player and current Barcelona boss Luis Enrique worked together during the latter's spell at the Celta Vigo helm and the two could link up again, with Nolito's release clause currently set at €18m.
The 28-year-old was Celta's highest rated player (7.47) last season having been directly involved in 26 of their 47 league goals, so his exit would come as a blow to Os Célticos.
Despite their transfer ban, Barcelona have secured the services of Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan this summer, though neither can play in official competition until the turn of the year.
