Villa outcast given chance to prove himself under Garde
Charles N’Zogbia has got two months to prove himself to new Aston Villa manager Remi Garde, reports the Daily Telegraph.
The former France international has been out in the cold under the previous two Villa managers, but has been thrown a lifeline by his fellow countrymen.
N’Zogbia, 29, was brought on as a second half substitute in Garde’s first game in charge against Manchester City on Sunday to make his first appearance since May.
Villa had been looking to settle N’Zogbia’s £65,000-a-week contract, which expires next summer, but the French wideman will now have the chance to prove himself to Garde.
Since joining Villa, N’Zogbia has only managed to start in 47.4% of the 114 Premier League matches (54) available.
