Manchester United and Tottenham target waiting to decide future
Real Madrid star, and Manchester United and Tottenham target, Gareth Bale will wait on the La Liga side to appoint a new manager before deciding his future, reports the Sunday Express.
The Wales international, who scored the winning goal in Real Madrid’s 3-1 Champions League final win over Liverpool, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabeu.
Bale struggled for regular game time under Zinedine Zidane last season as he made just 20 league starts for the European champions.
However, Zidane’s departure as Real Madrid boss last week could tempt Bale into staying in Spain having hinted following the win over Liverpool that he would look to leave Madrid this summer.
The news will come as a blow to both Manchester United and Tottenham, who have been courting the attacker and had hoped to bring him back to England.
Despite a lack of regular game time under Zidane, Bale, 28, still scored 16 goals and provided two assists for Real Madrid in La Liga last season.
