Man City offered chance to sign former Man Utd star

Manchester City have sensationally been offered the chance to sign Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo, though their top target remains Tottenham's Harry Kane, reports The Daily Mirror.

Ronaldo has reportedly been offered to a number of Europe's elite sides by agent Jorge Mendes.

City are among those who have been linked with a move for the Portugal international, but their first choice remains Kane as they look to bring in a new striker.

Kane missed Spurs' 1-0 win over City on Sunday evening after returning late to training, though he is expected to play some part in their Europa Conference League meeting with Pacos De Ferreira on Thursday night.

Spurs are demanding at least £150m for Kane, however City are set to bid around £120m for the England captain in the coming days.

And if City can't strike a deal for Kane, then they may well turn their attention to Ronaldo in a £25m deal.

The 36-year-old's current deal expires next summer, so Juventus would be keen to sell Ronaldo rather than lose him on a free in 12 months' time.

Ronaldo (7.61) finished the 2020/21 Serie A season as the best rated player in the league as he scored more goals (29) than any other player.
