Tottenham eyeing move for cross-city rivals star man

Mauricio Pochettino is keeping a watchful eye over compatriot Manuel Lanzini over at West Ham according to The Mirror.

The links no doubt won’t be welcomed by the Hammers hierarchy or new manager David Moyes, who know that the Argentine’s creativity will be crucial to his chances of saving the club from a relegation battle.

Tottenham are not the only club believed to be monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation, however, with Merseyside rivals Everton and Liverpool having also been touted with an interest in the past.

Lanzini still has three years remaining on his current deal at the London Stadium but would no doubt be flattered by interest from the likes of Spurs as West Ham struggle at the bottom of the table.

The playmaker has proven his quality against Tottenham in the past and his impressive record against London clubs would be a draw given the club’s rivalries with Arsenal and Chelsea, not to mention the Hammers themselves.
