Manchester United prepare £60m offer for Brazil international
Manchester United are readying a £60m bid for Chelsea winger Willian, claims The Daily Mail.
Willian has been heavily linked with a move to United in the last two years, as Jose Mourinho is desperate to reunite with the 29-year-old at Old Trafford.
The Brazil international will not make a decision on his future at Chelsea until the west London outfit confirm who their manager will be next season.
Willian has endured a difficult relationship with Antonio Conte but the Italian is expected to leave Chelsea this summer, with Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri lined up.
United have struggled to find someone to nail down a regular starting berth on the right hand side of attack and Willian would certainly solve that problem for Mourinho.
Willian is a hard-working forward and would provide United with balance going forward, allowing Alexis Sanchez to express himself more on the opposite flank.
Chelsea sold Nemanja Matic to United 12 months ago but it remains to be seen whether they’d be willing to strengthen a direct rival again.
Willian only started 35 league games across Conte’s first two seasons at Chelsea, making a further 35 appearances as a substitute. The Brazilian scored 14 goals and provided nine assists in that period.
