Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe wants to address his goalkeeping problem in the summer after falling out with Asmir Begovic, claims The Sun.
Begovic dropped below veteran goalkeeper Artur Boruc at the start of the year after a bust-up with Howe.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper has returned to favour in recent weeks but Howe still wants to replace him at the end of the season.
There is a case to make that Bournemouth should replace Begovic regardless of a falling out with Howe due to his error-prone form.
The 31-year-old has committed the most errors leading to an opposition goal in the Premier League this season (5) after making two more blunders at the weekend.
Howe is now considering moves for England duo Jack Butland and Nick Pope, both of whom want regular playing time in the Premier League.
Pope has failed to regain his starting spot in the Burnley team since recovering from a dislocated shoulder at the start of the year.
The 25-year-old hasn’t even been named in a Premier League squad since returning to full fitness and is now in Bournemouth’s sights.
The Cherries are also considering a move for Stoke shot-stopper Jack Butland, with the Potters out of the race to win promotion from the Championship.
Of goalkeepers to have made at least 20 Championship appearances this season, only Darren Randolph (76%) and Dean Henderson (72.4%) have a better save success rate than Butland (72.2%).
