Bayern Munich defender David Alaba insists he is not thinking about his future amid reports suggesting he could follow manager Pep Guardiola to Manchester City in the summer.
Guardiola will replace Manuel Pellegrini as City boss at the end of the season and there have already been plenty of suggestions that the Spaniard will look to bring some of his Bayern stars with him.
However, like Thiago, Alaba insists he is not letting speculation affect him with Bayern his only focus at present.
“In the winter I concentrated on coming back from my injury and getting in the team again,” he is quoted as saying by Goal.com. “So I did not think about my future a lot.”
“My contract still runs until 2018, at the moment I am concentrating on my performance on the pitch.”
Since the start of the season, only Xabi Alonso (89.3) averages more passes per game for Bayern in the Bundesliga than Alaba (80).
