Liverpool are looking to move for Lille winger Sofiane Boufal after a move for Mario Gotze stalled, reports The Express.
The Germany international had widely been expected to depart Bayern Munich this summer having struggled for regular game time last season.
However, Gotze is now prepared to remain at the Allianz Arena following Carlo Ancelotti's appointment, forcing Liverpool to look elsewhere in their pursuit of attacking reinforcements.
Boufal, who has been linked with a move to PSG and Tottenham, has since emerged as a potential arrival following an impressive for Lille.
Only Hatem Ben Arfa (4.5) completed more dribbles per game than Boufal (4.4) in Europe's top five leagues last term, with the Moroccan tipped to depart the Ligue 1 side during the transfer window.
