Wolves have announced the arrival of versatile Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker on an initial season-long loan deal.
The newly-promoted Premier League side have already made a series of eye-catching transfers this summer and Dendoncker is the sixth new face through the doors.
Dendoncker, who will make his Wolves switch permanent in 12 months, has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United but Wolves have finally prised the Belgian prospect to England for a reported £12m fee.
The 23-year-old was part of Belgium’s 2018 World Cup squad and even started in the Red Devils’ 1-0 win over England in the group stage.
Dendoncker can play in central midfield and in defence and his arrival at Wolves only reinforces the feeling Nuno’s side can claim a top-10 finish this season.
He completed the first half of his medical on Wednesday evening before finalising a move to Wolves on the morning of deadline day.
With his arrival in mind, it’s worth considering Dendoncker for your Football INDEX portfolios. His share price has already increased 19.77% in the last 24 hours of trading.
