Real Madrid looking into deal for Manchester United target

Real Madrid are preparing a deal for Rennes teenage sensation and Manchester United target Eduardo Camavinga, reports Spanish publication AS. 

The French midfielder broke onto the scene in impressive fashion this season and has made a regular starting spot his own for the Ligue 1 side. 

And his performances in France haven't gone unnoticed with a host of Europe's elite sides now showing an interest in Camavinga. 

Rennes are reluctant to let one of their prized assets go this summer, yet his head may be turned by interest from Real Madrid, who are looking to invest in midfield in the off-season, and are hoping to beat United to the 17-year-old's signature. 

With Luka Modric the wrong side of 30 and and Toni Kroos recently reaching the landmark age, Los Blancos are aware they need to invest in the middle of the park in order to remain competitive in both domestic and continental competition. 

Camavinga was enjoying a fine campaign prior to the Coronavirus pandemic and with the Ligue 1 season last week confirmed as over, he may have already played his final game for the French outfit. 

Reinforcing a statistically calculated WhoScored strength of 'tackling', only Leicester's Ricardo Pereira (4.3) has averaged more tackles per game than Camavinga (4.2) in Europe's top five leagues this season.
