Las Palmas open shock talks with Manchester City star
Las Palmas have entered talks with Manchester City star David Silva in a bid to sign the Spain international when his current deal expires in 2019, claims Elgoldigital, via AS.
Silva will be 33 when his contract runs out with Pep Guardiola’s side and has reportedly even reached a verbal agreement with Las Palmas, although any return depends entirely on whether they are still in Spain’s top flight at the time.
The City creator-en-chief revealed in April 2015 that if he was to return to Spain then the only club he would consider joining would be Las Palmas where he would end his career.
Silva is still an important part of Guardiola’s plans and will arguably go down as one of City’s best ever players when his time at the club eventually comes to an end.
The creative midfielder has spent the last seven years with City and in that time has registered at least 79 more key passes from open play than any other player (445).
