Tottenham are in talks to reward emerging defender Japhet Tanganga with a bumper new deal, claims the London Evening Standard.
Tanganga, who can play right the way across the defence, has been a revelation for Tottenham since making his Premier League debut in their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool earlier this year.
The 20-year-old has emerged as a key player under Jose Mourinho and is set to be rewarded with new terms to reflect his growing status at the club.
Tanganga's current deal is due to expire at the end of next season and he is reportedly on £1,500-a-week.
Tottenham are confident of securing Tanganga's long-term future and the youngster is set to land a new £15,000-a-week contract.
Tanganga's emergence played a major part in Tottenham's decision to let Danny Rose leave the club on loan in January.
