Bayern Munich target considering Chelsea future

Callum Hudson-Odoi is considering his Chelsea future just a year after signing a five-year deal with the club, claims The Independent.

Chelsea fended off intense interest from Bayen Munich, even rejecting offers in excess of £30m, to secure Hudson-Odoi's long-term future in September last year.

Frank Lampard's arrival as Chelsea manager last summer was tipped to propel Hudson-Odoi forward in his career but it has done the opposite.

Chelsea have spent in the region of £250m on new players this summer, with the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech pushing Hudson-Odoi even further down the pecking order.

Even though Ziyech is currently injured and both Willian and Pedro left over the summer, Hudson-Odoi has been snubbed from the starting XI in each of Chelsea's last first two games of the season.

Bayern are reportedly circling with a late offer to take Hudson-Odoi on loan for the season, while other clubs are also interested in the talented 19-year-old.

Hudson-Odoi completed his recovery from a serious Achilles tendon rupture at the start of last season but failed to establish himself as a first-team regular thereafter.

Nevertheless, of players that made 20 Premier League appearances last season, only Kevin De Bruyne (every 140 minutes) registered an assist more frequently than Hudson-Odoi (every 170 mins).
