Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has announced Isco has signed a new contract and an official announcement will be made in the coming days.
Isco’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of the season and the 25-year-rold revealed during the international break he wants to pledge his long-term future to the club.
The Spain international has exploded into form since the turn of the year and has quickly made himself an indispensible player for Madrid, just 12 months after Zinedine Zidane’s side were open to offers for the midfielder.
Isco has arguably been one of the best players in Europe in 2017 and Perez has revealed questions about his long-term future will be put to bed in the coming days.
“Isco arrived when he was young, with his whole life ahead of him,” Perez told Spanish radio station Cadena SER, via AS. “He is still only 25.
“We have 11 Spanish players, nine of them from the youth teams, in a squad of 24. Isco has renewed his contract. We will make the official announcement in the coming days.”
