Arsene Wenger has made a decision on his Arsenal future
Arsene Wenger has revealed he has made a decision on his Arsenal future and will make an announcement shortly.
Arsenal now face a real fight to finish in the top four after losing their third away league match in a row for the first time since the end of 2011 after leaving the Hawthorns off the back of a 3-1 defeat to West Brom.
Wenger is out of contract at the end of the season and has come under immense pressure from supporters to finally walk away from the club despite the fact their is an offer on the table from the board to extend the Frenchman’s stay at the Emirates by a further two years.
However, Wenger confirmed after their latest setback that he had finally made a decision on his long-term future and is almost ready to announce it.
“I know what I will do so you will know very soon,” The Independent quote Wenger as saying after their 3-1 defeat to West Brom. “You will see. Today I do not worry about that.”
The Gunners are still in fifth but will be six points adrift of the top four should Liverpool avoid defeat against Manchester City on Sunday, while Everton have also drawn level on points courtesy of their 4-0 win over Hull on Saturday.
However, Arsenal will drop down to sixth should Manchester United beat Middlesbrough in Sunday’s early kick off, which would only add further pressure on Wenger.
