The agent of Ezequiel Lavezzi has revealed that his client could return to Italy this summer amid speculation linking him with a move to Inter.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward is among a number of candidates being considered by Inter as their move for Ivan Perisic continues to stall.
Lavezzi, 30, will find first team opportunities harder to come by at the Ligue 1 champions this season following the arrival of Angel di Maria and his agent insists ‘nothing is impossible’ as the former Napoli winger continues to be linked with a move to the Nerazzuri.
“We talked,” Alejandro Mazzoni told Gazzetta dello Sport when questioned about Lavezzi’s links to Inter.
“[Inter sporting director Piero] Ausilio is an old friend. Now it depends on the offer, PSG want cash for him. There’s also the question of his wages.
“But it’s time for Pocho [Lavezzi] to return to Italy. We’ll see; nothing is impossible.”
Lavezzi still has two years to run on his current deal at PSG, having joined the Laurent Blanc’s side from Napoli for €30m (£24.1m) in 2012. Despite never starting more than 25 league games a season, only four players have had a direct hand in more goals for PSG than Lavezzi (26).
